Cam plate and pump options

Cam plate and pump options
Anyone have to upgrade the cam plate and pump? If so what are the best options? Stared having noise sounded like a collapsed lifter or something and on teardown found scoring in the pump, cam plate, and the tensioners are worn out. Fortunately crank runout is within spec.

Thanks everyone. I appreciate the info. Can you tell me how long youve been running them or ballpark mileage? Saw a few reviews of the screaming eagle kit causing engine damage within 200 miles, ever hear of the s&s failing like that? Doubt it but Id like to make sure before I spend that kind of money.

Put in the screaming eagle pump and cam plate this winter. About a thousand miles so far zero issues. While i really wanted the s&s setup once the cover goes on nobody knows whats inside but you. I used the money i saved to buy a nice set of lifters from larrys machine...my motors never been this quiet. You say your runout is in spec...what are you using as spec? HD or reality? Whats your pinion shaft look like?

I do have the SE plate and pump in my dyna...for about 10k miles now....no issues...have the s&s in my m8...only 4k on that bike so far....don't think you'll be disappointed with either...in the brand name way of things s&s puts out better products than the Moco I feel but you also pay a premium for their parts...
