Some have said that the clunk is in the stearing bearings and that they were lose. Mine does not have the clunk.

Well written observation Tim. Mine does it too. But I still have a soft spot for my Low Rider. She's my kinda gal!

..............once I get moving there are no vibes what so ever, motor goes to a stand still and mirrors are perfect................
Not only would INEVER sell your bike, I would put inyour living room and bow downbeforeit every night and thank the "vibe god" he singled you out for "perfect mirrors". My LowRider is fairly smooth but it is still a mystery to me what model of car is behind me except at very low speeds/RPMs. Maybe I need new contacts.............

P.S. Well written and informative lead post!!

When I bought my custom, I was surprised I could see with the mirrors. I bought a Harley to "feel" a motorcycle again. And it feels good.

I love to fire up my Dyna and seethe enginedance in it's rubber mounts at idle. Part of the appeal. Smooth at speed, and I know my know my bikes sweet spot and keep it there. Peace.

Only thing that irks me is the front end clunk, which apparently most dynas or wide glides have...other than that bikes been perfect.
Add an extra 1/2 ounce of fork oil to each side. That should help with the CLUNKs.
