Default 124" Clutch Setup

I have a S&S 124" making 142/143 Hp/Tq in my dyna. Currently running a a energy one +1 plate kit and vpc lock up plate. It is having a hard time holding, so I picked up a barnett scorpion and trask basket. The clutch only came with the two gold and green spring sets. I am considering picking up a set of the red springs. Does anyone have experience with his kind of set up? I'm a little concerned about the lever pull on all green or red springs, as well as the strain it will put on the clutch cable, and have been weighing the options of various methods of reducing clutch pull or getting the barnett lock up plate. Anyone have any recommendations?

I have a Bandit Clutch with an Evo Industries basket so although not the exact same brand I have a feeling they're pretty similiar so, now that that's out of the way let me tell you, as a spin of Eudora Welty's "A good man is hard to find", when it comes to power and clutches, a good clutch may be hard to find so go with better than good and your parts sound very good!

I honestly don't remember if I have in the weakest set or the middle set, (126hp/124lbs, 107") I know I don't have the hardest set in but let me tell you, man I love my clutch, never slips, always smooth, that is never in my worries!

Clutch cable, never heard of a clutch cable not standing up to the job although had one on a BMW that frayed near the hand lever on me but it wasn't built as stout as the HD cables.

Put the clutch in, you can always swap out the springs easy enough to get it right.

Cheers
