Default Compensator issue?

My 2010 fat bob (96ci) is difficult to start when hot very often. Noise out the intake and clunk from bottom end while turning over. Starts first crank when cold every time. There is only 15,000Km on it. About 9300 miles. Getting worse. is this typical of a bad compensator? I'd like to fix it right away. Thanks for any advice.

Yes, comp is toast, upgrade it before you end up smashing the starter ring gear

assuming you have efi, try not waiting for the fuel delay of 10-15 seconds when hot, just fire it up.......I had a ''hot start ''problem , before traditionally at the pump.......restarting with out waiting to hear the pump worked for me.
