Throw over saddle bags for STBOB????
I drive very fast most of the places I go and this concerns me.
I tried a set of like the 830-757, they are 16x11x6 1/2 They don't fit right between the shocks and the rear turn signal. I'm not willing to relocate my turn signal and make it look like the devil.
Was the ones you got the 830-242. These are JPcycles numbers.
What did you use to keep the off yer rear wheel.
Will a leather jacket fit in yer bags.
Did they scuff yer fender. Thanks.

www.foxcreekleather.com < bought a set for my Dyna ....fit perfectly and very good quality leather, lifetime guarantee
I like these bags moosh...thanks for the link...Me thinks I'll save my penny's and get a set of them.
Looks/works good on '07 FXDL w/o supports or relocation.
See link for best price.
To answer my own question and maybe some elseâs question. After researching Willie & Max site it seems the Standard Slant fits the Dyna pretty well without moving the rear turn signals. They are 14" wide x 12" high x 5.5" deep. Here is a pic on the Willie & Max site of Dyna with the standard slant.

I made the mistake of buying the compact slant (12" x 9.5" x 5.5") and they were great looking well made bags but way too small for my taste. Willie & Max has great customer support and are allowing me to send them back with no restocking fee and responded within 24 hours of my request for an RMA. Another thing I liked is the price of the bags is around $150!
Here is a link to the standard slant saddlebags if interested!

If is a BIG WORD ! I wouldn't use them I wouldn't want them. if you have ever had any saddle bags on yer bike you can't live without them. Trust me.
In Jpcycles catalog Krome works makes a saddle bag support 840-186 For a 06-07 FXWG.. for a FXD its a 840-185.

You can fight yerself all you want, but if you ever git a set of saddlebags
on yer bike it's hard to take them off.
I know the bike But it makes life easier. To me this set of bags looks pretty good. I'm gonna have to try the bag's and see if they will work. If not I will have to try another pair. Probaly go with Willey and Max.830-342. These are 14" INSTEAD of 16".
If you din't think so let me know. I have to have the slant bags cause got a dyna.
Lookin for some foam like goes under the tourmaster saddlebags or gonna have to git some terri cloth to go under the leather to keep the paint clean.
Any other ideas let me know.Talked to the H-D dealer and the only bracket's they have are for their bags which I don't want. They said I would have to look at drag specialities or JP Cycles.

Don't know if they will work or not. Don't understand how yer saddkebags stay off yer back tire. I drive at 80-95 on the interstate from country town to country town when I come out on major hiways.
I talked with a dude that had some synthetic saddlebags on his bike. He stuck a bunch of wrenches in them and took off, the weight made the bags go down farther than normal and the bottom of the bags melted and he lost all his wrench's. I deceided to try leather.
They should come in Wednesday. Guess I will try them on by friday and see how tight they are. Want to look for some foam rubber material to put on the bottor of the throw over leather that will be on the back fender.

Well I called Ace leather in California and talked with Al . Al said he had bought some of these brackets and had them in stock.
For throw over saddle bags they would be great. All you do is throw over yer saddle bags and tie them to the shock and the bracket would hold them off at the bottom. If you have saddlebags that mount to the struts this would work for them also.
Al also said he would custom make throw over saddle bags for my wide glide and put padding under the part that goes over the fender.
If you deceide you want to call him he's at 650-856-3317, or you can reach him on the internet.
