Default Rear Axle Socket size?!?!
Did a lot of searching but couldn't find the right socket size for my '07 Dyna Super Glide, and couldnt find it in my service manual either. I am changing out my rear tire and want to have all the tools in place. Anyone got a solid answer? i saw the 08 models are a 36mm i just wanna make certain its the same! TIA!!!!

I just went out and checked on an 09 Fat Bob, I measured 1 7/16",,,

I think you are right

Yea i borrowed a 36 and its DEF not a 36 mm... its a 29 if its Metric bc my 1-1/8 has a TEENY TINY bit of slop in it... and a 1-1/16 is way too small.... gotta be a 29... the 1-1/8 seems like it may be ok though.... will confirm in the morning!

I find this funny. So do you only buy 1 tool at a time? Might want to simply put a TAPE MEASURE on the flats of the nut and measure it. If it's off a little, measure it with a metric ruler.

lol!!! no, i was at work and hit up one of my friends in town (i dont live in the town i work in and wasnt on my bike). As far as a tape measure - nah.... ll use my digital calipers. was just hoping someone knew it off the top of their heads. i wont be doing any work til wednesday.

I use a 36mm 6 point socket on my 09 fxdf axle
....fits very nicely
