Hello,
I have been having a problem with my oil light staying on at idle only....even goosing the throttle at idleeven just a hair, it goes off. After warm up and take off, she goes off for sure....and stays off. I am thinking that it may be my oil pressure relief valve. I am thinking of putting in a stronger valve spring than the little toy one Harley puts in at the factory. Has anyone done this procedure? I am researching it in my service manual and of course they make it seemsimilar to performing brain surgery. I am sure it can't be that hard. I did a search and things are prettygeneral regarding the oil pressure relief valve.
Hopefully you can help me.....Thanks in advance.
It could be that, but I would look at the oil presure sending unit first and pull it out and put a realy direct reading gauge in its place and see whats really going on.
If is looks like an issue internally I would get the kit from Zippers!
