custom pipe problems Killing me!!!

Thanks, Yes I would go back to stock. I travel in winter and I would get rocks thrown at me camping in a State park starting this at 6:30 in the morning.

You care too much what other people think my friend. Imagine a life 40 years ago when we were priming and pumping our panheads while cussing then when they started we gave them all kinds of fuel to keep them running for a good 10 minutes before taking off. They throw rocks, you fire bullets.

I hear what your saying LOL getting older and invisibility sometimes is a better weapon for me.

Those short wide open pipes are gonna pop. Just nature of the beast. If you already have the download tune I would invest that 800 in a new set of pipes with a quiet baffle. Would most likely take care of your issue and sound better

I just recently purchased an 05 FXWGI with 6200 miles on it. It has a Bassani 2 into 1 exhaust and was doing the same popping as yours is doing. I was going to install the original exhaust that I got with the bike, when I removed the Bassani I found that it was installed without any exhaust gaskets. After installing the Bassani with new gaskets, it stopped all the popping and backfiring.
