Does the "computer" keep track of the miles if I had to replace it?My mileage is correct at 95000 (approx) you have to replace one. Would another speedometer keep the milegae? Thanks for your input.
I'd appreciate any info. I thing a new speedo would cost around (more than I would like to spend. The speedometer works but the display is dark. Older digital watches had the same problem.
Thanks for your opinion.

Reason: Title adjustment
When you go to the local HD store, you the new speedo in parts and the dealer installs it. They correct the mileage. I changed the small Street Bob speedo and console to the large speedo and chrome console to a Wideglide style.
Yes....it's stored in the ECU...if you get a new one you just plug it in with a data cord and the ECU pairs with the new speedo and sends it the mileage...pretty easy....
