Tough break. That berm on which the overpass sits makes it impossible to see the exiting vehicle until it's too late to avoid. Best of luck to you.
its a terrible spot. Right by the college strip and another very busy intersection with two gas stations people are shooting into traffic all over the place. There are bike lanes on either side too. Its right by my house but I avoid that section of bike lane at all cost.
I
over a week after the accident and I realized the impact of the vehicle drove the speed hooks of my boot into my foot. I thought most of my swelling was from surgery but I guess my leg took more of a hit than I thought.

Hopefully the 20 YO felt some sort of I dunno, but when they act like it was your fault for being there that dont sit well.
she was very upset typical
I didnt see you I swear!
No ****, I dont think you did it on purpose!? When i totaled my Speed Triple it was also a 20 yo female pulling out of a parking lot trying to clear 6 lanes of traffic. The time before that was a 60 yo lady that ran a stop sign and tagged me in my saddle bag. She would have got me in the leg but I saw her coming and ripped it wide open.
Might want to reduce your exposure of "urban" riding. Especially if nobody abides by the traffic laws. Are you thinking that the shock co or exhaust co had any culpability in your crash? I don't see the connection.
I meant from a property loss perspective. Basically its a $5000 bike with $900 shocks and $800 pipe. Im gonna get screwed on this cause, she has minimum liability which isnt going to cover my medical bills. Im trying to get anything I can out of my property loss claim.
In May of 2017 I was hit head on, she was turning from the oncoming side. A four lane 55mph zone. I received a severe traumatic brain injury and 86 or more broken bones. (My medical record says or more) The girl was a 19 year old medical student, had her license 3 weeks, She was driving her uncles uninsured car.
Told the officer in charge on scene that she thought she had enough time.
My bike was a 14 Street Bob with a lot of club style mods. My insurance paid it completely off if thats what you were asking about.
Wish you the best with your recovery. 👍🏼
And I still ride fortunately.

Well if anyone is on the fence about crash protection I really do stand behind the Immz Elite loop bars. Turns out the driver that hit me had let her insurance lapse so well be going through my policy which is for the best.
