So, I installed new Vance & Hines straight shot exhaust this spring.
After 2500 mile I have bluing on the rear cylinder pipe where the heat shield ends.
Why would it only be on one side?
I do not know how it is jetted , the PO said he had a Stage 2 kit installed by the dealer.
It seems the run great the way it is.

Sounds like you needed to re-jet the carb after you changed out the pipes

 

Might be helpful to tell us what bike you're working on.

If the dealer installed the stage 2 I doubt they modded the carb and you could be real lean on the fuel. Nightrider.com has an article on modding the carb.
