Where is the oil plug on a 06 Dyna? Reason I ask is the plug under the transmission does not look like the picture in the owner's manuel and there is asmall plug forward under the engine cylinders that could be a oil plug.
I think it is the plug at the right/center of the transmission base but just want to make sure.
the oil plug is the one on the kickstand side thats horizontal to the ground. The tranny is the one on the right side of the bike facing down. I just changed all three fluids last weekend, I believe there were some discrepancies in the owners manual on some models.
[sm=imsmilin.gif]My owners manual had the same problem. When I first change my fluids I pulled all kinds of plugs off the bottom of the bike. the MoCo.--->[sm=chairshot.gif]got the illistration attachments wrong. GRRRR... wish I had been a member of this forum then.
Thats the same picture in my manual, I actually drained my tranny on accident because of it and overfilled my oil! DOH! Good thing I caught it...after further investigation I realized that the picture is not a misprint, it is simply a shot from UNDER the bike!!! If you hold the book up like you are looking at the underside of the bike you will find that the plugs match exactly where they shoud be.....now a nice little arrow or something that pointed to the jiffy stand would have helped out and not cost me to lose a quart of Mobile1 V-twin......
[:@]Grrrr I know!!! thats exactly the picture / illustrations !! Those *****... How do you get something like that in reverse or wrong!!! Esp. when you are the people that make the G0)amn thing!
