I have a'06 Street Bob. With a SE air cleaner, Rush slip on's and a Power Commander.73.5 HP and 72.9 ft/lbs. But she pops a bit when letting off the throttle at the upper end of the RPM range. For example, when getting ready to shift into 4th gear, you suddenly get caught by a red light. So I let off the throttle and use the engine to slow down. And POP,POP, when I asked the tech about it he asked if I like the pop and did I want it to pop more. Sounds like a lean condition pop, to me. Any ideas? BTW, when starting to ride to Boomer-Rama(local biker event)yesterday, the bike started running real rough, like only one cylinder was working. Stopped by the dealer and all it showed were 3 codes, one for a non-functional left signal( which works) the right turn signal( same story) and for the plug wire I pulled off to see which jug was working. The tech cleared the codes and said she should be good to go. Well, I didn't even leave the parking lot before realizing that it was still not right. So I'm waiting to hear what they find out. TIA for any ideas or suggestions.
greuter asks about his HP/TQ numbers - seem a bit low - but OK
Trotter asks - whats the AF mix?
Masc quotes some different numbers - looks good
Trotter asks again - post something - including the AF mix
Naz posts his numbers - look really good! - but I'm not sure how they relate to everything else.
I guess i need another beer.
Well first off His numbers look real good, What ya need to know is how much Load was used by thetuner. It can affect the numbers greatly, Was there a load put on the bike during the second run or just free wheeling? The Older dyno's really did'nt have a way to force load. The new Dyno's like the Dynojet 250I which I'm very familar with allows you to force load on the rear tire to act like real time rideing which can lower the numbers by 10 points.... With no load they can (the tuner) just boost the numbers or print out to give you bragging rights... They can also print it out in STD to even make it look even better..The A/F numbers tell the story if the bike is running rich/ lean, Cool, Hot, Pop or not. Vibration can come from a bad tune along with many other affects.. A good Tuner is worth his weight in Gold and hard to find...Do your home work, Ask questions. There banking on you not knowing how to read the print out. Ask them what Machine there using... Also look at the Humidity on Naz's sheet 34% Must have been A/C room..LOL. Find a tuner through referances from people you trust if possible...
If it runs good and you're happy then be happy. You could probably squeek some more out of it at the cost of fuel mileage so if all out performance is what you want spend the time it takes with an experienced tuner in your area. Otherwise leave it alone. I've got similar numbers from my Street Glide and am completely satisfied with the way it runs and especially the 50mpg highway mileage it get. I ride mine, I just don't hang around with dynos sheets for bragging rights.
Sorry for taking so long to get back. My AF # is right at 13. But after several rides this weak end I get a lot of backfire only on decell is this ok or should I talk to theguy that did the tune? The bike rungood and looks even better. One other question. I am still using the OEM crome football cover over the BIG SUCKER A.C. is this OK Thanks again you guy's are the best.
