Real easy. Only problems I had was the gasket didn't go on like they said in the instructions, it has a sticky side to it. but that was not a big deal.Just line up the holes then peal off the paper and stick it to the base. Also make sure you use the loctite on all screws and bolts. And yes I do like it and glad I got the chrome backing plate. Very much worth the extra $$....

It's gonna suck some more air than the SE stage 1filter, I'm assuming you have now, If the dealer used the K & N filter it'll be the same.. Thrower on and let'er rip and see.. Good luck! Let us know how it works.

The old filter i took off isnt much differant than the big sucker . Looks like the only differance is the big sucker filter is one that you oil and the harley one is a dry element. I guess when i get my pc111 right she will run great

did you reuse the original cover? I just put K&N 3909 (new filter and backplate)on my FXDC yesterday and the black rubber surround that was hard up against original backplate comes off the cover. Should I just remove it??

I'm in the middle of installing Thundermax autotune and python 2into1 pipe as well, work getting in the way! Any tips anyone has (I have done searches) would be greatly appreciated.
