Air Filter

Can someone tell me the difference betrween a stage 1 and stage 2? I am thinking about buying a Big Sucker for my HQ 103 but I can't decide which one I should use.

The cfm of the filter. More flow with the stage 2 (20% larger filter)

So does that mean that the backer plate is the same but the filter is just bigger?

Yes. If you go to the Arlen Ness site and compare the two you will see that the outside of the Stage 2 is something like 8" or so.....the filter tapers out on the edges as opposed to tapering in on the outside

Thanks Dawg, I am definitely changing to something else. I got home today and went for a ride. When I got home I took the football cover off of my breather, went for a short trip, I have a high-flow in it , It made a pretty big difference. I believe with my set-up I will use the Stage 2.
