Default First time seeing inside primary

Tried looking around a bit but am coming up short. This is my first harley bought an 08 super glide used and am checking everything over and replacing fluids. I took my primary cover off just to check things over, the oil looked good, no chunks of metal and the drain plug didn't have anything concerning. I've never seen the primary open before, and was wondering if the inside of the cover looks normal. I can't find any reference pics off hand. It looks like the chain rubbed against the inside cover by the one bolt, and there's also what looks like rubbing inside the housing under the front pulley. Is this normal? Like I said i didn't see any metal in the fluids or the bolt, maybe the issue was addressed by the previous owner. Thanks.

Also I'm not finding the replacement part for the shift linkage rubber washer in the manual

It's called a spacer, p/n 7078

Shaving marks could be caused by a loose primary chain...

Thanks, bike was supposedly stock. that groove looks like it is factory cut or someone shaved off material there to accomodate a different clutch but i cant determine if that is from the factory. I tried to look for markings of an updated clutch to determine if it would need more clearance but didn't notice anything. The bike only has 14K. There doesn't seem to be any chain damage if there was rubbing and the chain tension seems solid. Thats a decent gouge and there'd probably be substaintial chain damage? Just gonna get a new tower gasket, spacer and seal and hope for the best. I've ridden it 1K so far and there doesnt seem to be any noise from the primary. No clunks. I have a decent vibe in low rpms and changed the front mount and did an alignment. Was hoping to see something malfunctioning in the primary but besides the gouges it looks ok. I heard a loose chain/bad auto tensioner could cause bad vibes but like i said the chain has good tension.

Welcome from Hampton Roads Virginia.

Be sure to go into your USER and add a signature line for your bike including all the letters.

I don't see that seal on that shifter shaft. Get that at the dealer.

That one big flat is machining at Harley. Don't think those little nicks could have got there with tensioner on. Think that is factory fixture holding marks for holding while machining process. Mine has similar. If still apart, push up on your chain hard at the top in middle. That auto-tensioner always seems too tight but that is because it has two tensioner springs in it. Makes it quiet but hides some give. Should be about 1/2" play upward. When they first put it together at the factory, the tensioner did not kick in till they fired it up. That is where that other little mark probably came from. Sure is clean in there. Most time, they are a little gray film at least.
