Primary Cover
I installed Kuryakyn forwards on my 07 LR earlier this year and the old shift shaft that sticks out the the primary cover is driving me nuts. I dont like it and never have liked it. I know it can be removed, so what do you do with the hole on the cover. I know that the softail bike ddo not have mid controls so will one of those primary cover fit my LR?

The 07 Softail or Wide Glide primary will fit. You will need to put a plug of some sort in the hole of the shifter shaft tunnel on the inner to keep the fluid in the cases. A plug such a Pig shows above is the easiest and cheapest way to go.
Here's a couple pics. One shows the plug on a chrome outer primary. The other shows where to cut the shifter shaft to remove it without pulling the primary covers.
