Primary Cover ????
A friend of mine sprayed sometype of cleaner on his 07 Soft-tail Standards engine, and it made spots on the primary cover. I recently replaced my primary cover 07 FXD, and I want to let him have it.
Is there a difference in primary covers, other than the shift hole?

On your 07 covers, the "tunnel" which housed the shifter shaft is formed when the inner and outer meet. Because his did not have the shifter shaft, the casting of his inner is different and will not meet your outer to form this tunnel. Therefore, primary fluid will leak from your outer.
He will need to seal this hole somehow in your outer. He can use a chrome carriage bolt and an appropriate rubber sleeve around it to seal this hole from the outside in. I believe others have also used a correct size freeze plug to seal the outer from the inside, and the HD chrome plug for dressing up the outside.
