too much oil?
i recently changed my primary chaincase oil.(2003 lowrider) the manual says it takes 26 ozs.to fill.
i put 32ozs.in it before i could see it in the housing.will putting this much oil in it cause a problem? should i drain some out ?

My wide glide takes 30-32 ounces. If you over fill it, it will just pour out. You deff need to check an owners manual as they are all varied. Over filling the primary will cause some over slipage and it will benearly imposible to find nuetral. I dont think it will hurt, but its not a good idea

My 06 Lowrider takes exactly 32 ozs' I think the MoCochanged primary size capacitiesfor just that reason later on.. dosent make much sense to leave an oil bottle with only about 3-4 ozs left in it... if you are that concerned just drain a little out.. get a measuring cup (preferably an old one your wife wont kill you for using) and very quickly catch some and put the cap back in... or.. drain it all into acleancatch pan and refill it using previously mentioned (wife authorized measuring cup) to be exactly for sure.
