Hello,
I own a 1993 FXDWG here in Thailand and would like to buy a nice paint set for my bike in the US (eBay or somewhere else). The question I have is from which years I can be sure that the full set will fit my bike, because due to the huge distance I will not be able to change anything later on. It must be a genuine set as I purchased a Corbin seat recently which does not fit on my rear fender (at the moment I have one from a dyna low rider installed which is not so nice and does not fit 100% - it was better than nothing because it is not easy to buy parts over here).
What about the models up to lets say 1999? They looks very similar but off course that does not mean much I guess...! Any idea what are the differences?
I know that the seat mountsand seats changed in 96. Being that the seat mounts to the near and sometimes the same place as the tank. I would think there may be some differances. I was able to make a 07 tank fit on my 03 , But it did require a few mods to do so.
Hm, I am not worry about the tank because this should be easy to do. I am worry about the fender. The point is that I purchased a Corbin Dual seat for my 1993 FXDWG and on the Corbin Website they say 1993-1995. I would like a paintset from a 2003 up model but was told the these fenders are more wide to allow wider tires...! Ifear that this will be the trouble and they will not go in without using a large hammer...
