Default brake pedal question???

Hey, I don't have a manual yet so maybe someone can answer a question for me.

I have a 06 SuperGlide with HD forward controls. I was able to change the angle of the shift lever on the left side by taking off the back nut and moving the assembly on the sprocket to where I liked it.

I would like to change the angle on the brake side too so it's more in a down position. Does anyone know if the brake side is adjustable ??? Don't want to take the linkage apart if it isn't going to matter.

Thanks for any help.

My WG adjusts on the rod back at the aft end of it where it bolts to the master cylinder...Don't know if yours is the same or not, might have a look.

The brake pedal on my 06 Super Glide with the Harley forwards adjusts as Wide Glide 05 has described.

I see where the back of the brake shaft has a threaded end that goes into a fitting that is connected to the boot that gets depressed when applying the brakes. Do you turn that fitting to give more slack to the pedal???

Manual says loosen jamnut, turn pushrod to shorten or lengthen, retighten jamnut. No more than six threads should show on pushrod or it might come apart. Since you want the pedal to go forward, you would turn the pushrod into the brake rod to extend pedal position. I bet once you mess with it, you will see what you need to do, just look at it first and see how it works....

Great answer, thanks for the help. I knew someone would come through - now, I'll get my rear to the dealer and get a manual.
