I bought the tank on E-bay for about $200(pretty cheap I thought,and it just happened to be vivid black same color as my tank now) I alson bought risers,gas cap and fuel gauge off of E-bay both for around $20 bucks apiece. I then ordered the remaining parts from chicago H-D or Zonottis.All the parts are pretty much interchangable inside the tank you just need to change them over which was no problem at all,just take out and put in new tank.just get a service manual it shows everything you need to know,here is a list of parts you need:

68792-96 indicator lamp housing
68382-96 warning light bezel
75246-04 top plate assembly
75248-04top plategasket
1331 sealed screw(12)
11323 o-ring
new crossover fuel line and clamps

thats about it i think

this was very easy,almost too easy i was expecting trouble but it was pretty slick

You are a true biker and shall never be mistakenfor a computer geek. Has the ability to change out a tank, console, speedo, gauge, and lights; but can't load a pic.

Looking forward to seeing what you have done. Thanks for the info.
