I'm in the process of doing a club style build on an 03 FXDP that I picked up. I bought a set of immaculate FXDX tins that I'll be putting on the bike. This will require me to relocate the dash style ignition to else where on the bike or potentially solder in a barrel style ignition. Does anyone have any advice? I saw the horn mounted switch but I don't think I want to go that route. I was thinking my best bet would be back to a regular superglide location under the saddle.
Could I just buy an old FXD ignition module and splice it in?
get a regular Dyna ignition like the FXDX has. It's a weird location but works fine on my FXDXT. You interested in selling the FXDP bags and brackets? Got a nice set of leatherpros I'd trade. You should be able to find part numbers here. Let me know on those police bags. FXDX Microfiche

The bike didn't come with bags or mounting brackets unfortunately, I know those are worth some good money. I'll look into the regular FXDX ignition but I've been having trouble finding the mounting bracket as well as the switch. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
I posted a thread yesterday about relocating my ignition switch from my tank to the stock super glide position next to the battery. Can anyone help me track down the mounting bracket for the switch? I've called a couple dealers and scanned schematics but neither have yielded an answer. Buying the switch assembly is easy enough however the bracket is giving me trouble.

Bike is an 03 FXDP.
Thanks in advance.
According to the 2003 FXDP parts manual there should be a bracket welded to the frame next to the battery cover. This bracket is also used to secure the battery tray.
That bracket also makes a great place for an SAE electrical connector
