I went to putmy 99 Super Glide on a jack I got at Harbor Freight. Man I was unsure about it. I must have been too far back because the front wheel wasn't really coming up much. Do you take it up with the stand down? Is there anything that can be damaged on the underside of the bike? I wouldn't have been so nervous if someone else was there to watch for balance. Any pointers?
You are using the adapter blocks from Harley or have made your own- right. The Dyna frame has an extra piece of steel on the right side (bottom) which needs to be supported with a "shorter" block then the other three lifting points.

Make my own sounds good. Have you seen a picture anywhere. I think I know of the piece of steel your talking about. So I need extra spacers at the other points?
i just use the nearest piece of scrap wood i can find normaly about 3/4 of an inch thick..... never have any problems stick the jack under there then the block on the left side just aft of the kick stand itll be fine
My brother and I have used one to jack his lowrider to change the front tire. Had no problems except that the jack would not hold pressure to stay in one position until you jacked it up to lock it. The hydraulic jack it leaking pressure. No adapters was used.
