Before I start my bike the dealer said I should wait till the little yellow circle type light goes out.... OK sounds good so I do this every time I start it... Now I just noticed that the little yellow light comes on sometimes when at idle then when I throttle up it goes off.... Now today I went for a small ride and I stopped at the store shut it off and when I press the kill switch to on and the injectors kick on and make that little hum.... I noticed my mile numbers said (diag) then some number then diag again and it never went back to the miles.... I turned the switch off and then the key switch off and re tried it again.... this time it didn't do it and it hasn't did it again sense. Should I be worried? Should I have it checked out? What do you guys think??
Could the error code be because of the new drag pipes I just put on?
Or could it be because I got caught in a major rain storm the other night with my open air cleaner? It was acting all crazy, water in the gas I guess....
Did you add a SERT or another fuel controller? I would check the wiring to the O2 sensors also. Do a search for error codes and you can find out how to get the code from the display.
I cant say that has happened to me but if it did I think i would get it to the dealer . Got to love that warranty let them check You have nothing to lose
if you go to the diy - engine diagnostics section of this forum, the 1st page will show you how to retrieve the code, and what it means.
............when you say it was acting crazy after the rain , sounds like it might have happened there.
as said above, can go to the dealer anyway....
