Default BST wheels tire advice?

OK, call me a fool; I'm all in on set of BST wheels from Brock's for my 2011 SB. Stock wheel diameters 19" & 17" but BST are wider. See I could run a 120 up front and 180 in the rear ( Battleax in that size, have 'em on my Tracet 900 GT, not a big fan, rear gives the TC a workout). I'm fairly ignorant, but assume that 100/90 front and 160 in the rear will spread a bit on the wider rims changing the profile a bit? Any advice very appreciated and sure feel free to comment in general

You need to make sure the tire will bead up to the rim... Not sure what your doing here so you need to state exactly what tire's your gonna use and the exact rim size dimensions... A 100-90/19 tire will be hard to mount on a 3" rim or wider..

I am running factory replacement sizes, had my guy order them. The pirelli night dragon 100/90/19 and 160/70/17 fit perfect. Wore them out edge to edge and now I am running a set of pirelli angel gt tires. I think they 110/90/19 and 170/70/17. They stick like glue.

Regardless the BST wheels are one of the best mods I have done to my bike, it is quick to put the power down and is so flickable. I love it.

It's hard to decipher if you have already ordered a set or are going to. If you are going to, go for broke and get 17x3.5 for up front and 17x5.5 for the rear and put on sport bike tires. Have light weight and superior grip.

How much wider? This is easy to figure out if you know the width of the rims.

Just remember that by going to a 17inch front wheel you will loose ground clearence. Even with an extended front end (dropped trees on my inverted front end) clearence is at a premium with the 19 inch wheels.

already ordered the stock size wheels. I considered that route; however, the reduced lean angle was made it a non-starter. Going 2" over in the front to match the 14" shocks I'm running now. Too easy to grind the primary as it is now- 17" in the front would be way to low.

Thanks all, going Conti road attack 3's in 110/ 170. Had 'em on the Yamaha before mounting the bargain bin Battleaxs: Contis were great for everything but longevity, should be nice on the Dyna with the carbon fiber wheels.
