Default 2015 LR improvements

So put a couple of hundred miles on the new to me LR and need to make some changes. My hands are going numb especially at hiway speed. The stock seat is comfy at first but soon hurts my tailbone (which was broken a few years ago). Not to mention my right boot getting seared on the exhaust-but I found a guard for that.Open for 2 up seat and grip suggestions. Also I feel the bars could come back some more and not so turned in/wheelbarrowed......what are some good saddlebags (Viking aren't working out)?

Seats and bars are totally subjective, everyone has different tastes, sizes, shapes, etc. You should try stopping by a dealer and sitting on a few used dynas if they have any to see what feels better to you and go from there. There are hundreds of not thousands of handlebar options to choose from and probably 100 different seats available.

I put 8" pullback riser on mine and it made it much more comfortable.

Kuryakyn ISO grips are the standard or Avon or similar will greatly help the buzz in the bars. Something with a rubber insert is what you want.

Seats are impossible. You have to shop forever, order one that's at least $400, then hope it works for you cause there's no trial period. Get one that has reviews for what you are doing: long journeys. Mustang is the name you'll see most often but La Pera and Saddlemen are also yuge and make cushy options.

And a set of highway bars with pegs or just highway pegs mounted to the downtubes will let you stretch out. Just gotta spend a few hours googling. Good luck!

As for seats and bars, the guys all gave great advice already. But for saddlebags, Saddleman makes a great set (leather) and if you are looking for hard bags, Advanblack makes good bags as well.

I tried several seats settled on the Mustang vintage wide solo with passenger pillion. I tried the Sundowner , Tallboy and a Corbin. Mustang was the overall best comfort and looks .

I had a situation recently that was causing problems with numbness in my hands on my FLTRU. I went to a lower set of handle bars and that was the cure. Numbness in my hands was caused by nerve issues in my neck. [per my Dr]. YMMV

That buzz vibration is exactly what is happening..I put hiway pegs on it but have yet to adjust them.I think a taller seat would help with leg ergo.Gonna get back at it when I get back home.BTW,ordered some bags from Saddline.Don't need to relocate rear signals.
