Default Potentially purchasing a 2008 Fat Bob

Went and looked at a 2008 Fat Bob yesterday. Nice bike, very clean, sounded good. All stock except for a set of slip on mufflers. 21000 miles on the clock. It comes with some nice extras like saddlebags, detachable windshield, extra seat and some other small take off items.
I made an offer and the seller is thinking it over. If we agree on a price I’ll go back today with cash and take it for a test ride before finalizing the deal.
Anything in particular to look for? Any known issues with the 08 Fat Bobs?

21000 might be a little too soon but try different clutch engagements (RPM vs release speed, try slipping a little, etc.) and listen for primary chain slap, see if you can tell whether or not the compensator is holding up.

Well never mind. The seller got a better offer and sold it.

I know it’s a moot point for OP this time around but I have an ‘08. Kept it stock for almost 10 years before putting a stage one kit on it... then mini apes and shocks...

never an issue with the engine or handling with the forks. I once ran over a roadkill deer an that beefy front end held up great. It has been a a daily driver and weekend tripper depending on where I’ve been.

There’s lord of room for upgrades and improvements if you want but I was happy with it being stock until the bug bit me to do something with it.
