Default Mustang seat questions

I have a question for those with the passenger Mustang seat. When you remove the rear seat from the bike for the solo look can you see wear marks from the rubber bumpers? Or are you using something else to protect the paint? I am currnently using the Standard soloand would have to get the rear seat if the misses wants to ride with me. I cannot afford to get her her own bike.... yet.....

It has not been a problem with my seat. The way the Mustang passenger seat is designed keeps that from happening, or at least it has on mine. You could always us the soft portion of sticky velco pad (where the hooks mate) on the rubber pads if you are concerned. And you could get the fender bib they make to cover up the mount holes.

How does the front of the passenger seat mount to the bike? Does it have a slot and pin type mount?

I read someone on this forum used a computer mouse pad to protect the paint

Now that is an idea. I used a clear paint protector on my Intruder but the Corbin wore through it. I might just have to keep the Wide Glide set up for solo riding and if the misses wants to come with then take the Intruder....

The Mustang seat sits different than the Corbin. As for the mounting, the front seat rear attachment has a slotted bushing that the fork of the passenger seat slides into for a secure fit. The front of the Mustang rider seat has a tab that fits under the tank mount. Easy on/off access as I am always tinkering with my PCIII.
