I have the low detatchable on my 2007 FXDC.
I also have the Sundowner seat, and I feel this bar setup takes the ugliness out of the seat.
I got the low as it was all that was on Ebay at the time.
Here is a picture of my mid low sissy bar with a Mustang back rest pad. My wife likes the setup and the bar is tall enough for our for the larger weekend bag that slides over it.

That's a medium low, same as I have. I like it and so does my wife. I also went with the rigid sideplates since I have no interest in removing the sissy bar.
