Sheeeeit, I'm still waiting for the replacement damper rods. I'm guessing it'll be a couple of weeks before the forks are back together then the rest of the bike needs to go back together also. And since I live in Minnesoviet, it's going to be late April before the weather is warm enough and the roads have been cleared anyhow, ****, might even be May.
Not the new set-up, I'm talking about the Original OE set-up ... how many times have you "Bottomed Out" ... if any?
I FINALLY got the replacement damper rods from TrackerDie. In the box, there's a note that says:
"Our Drilled 49mm Dampers have a total of 4 holes in them like
you saw with the original set we sent you. That was the correct
set once we went back and looked at the picture you emailed.
We drilled the extra 2 holes for you like you mentioned in your
email per the Race Tech Instructions, which is why these
dampers look modified. Either way (4 holes or 6 per damper
works)."
So, they asked for pictures and never even bothered looking at them until they were going to pack up the replacements? I also messaged another member here who confirmed that his TrackerDie dampers came drilled with 6 holes, so WTF? At the end of the day, the properly drilled dampers are in my hands and I can start putting the forks back together tonight. The bummer is, I really wanted to like these guys but what a cluster-**** of wasting everyone's time, and I feel like I can't trust them either. Really too bad.
[Edit] And they still need to be drilled out to size.
