Default Need pointed in right direction

I have a 2012 switchback. Was riding down the highway around 70-80mph tonight and my headlight would dim down and then back up several times and then my speedometer would drop and my bike seemed to wanna shut off but it never did. Did this several times before I got it home.

First thing would be to test the charging system and regulator connections..

Look at the battery connections, don't forget the ground cable connection. They might seem tight but to be sure take them off and clean them well. You might need to scuff them up a bit with some emery paper or a wire brush.

This is exactly what caused my 2006 Triumph T100 to shut down. Everything seemed right and tight until I got the bike home and put a wrench on everything. Ground was loose.

As others have said, regulator and/or stator could be bad or going bad.

Thanks guys, I’m almost positive I found the problem and will try it out tonight. The terminal screws to the battery were loose.
