Best performance plugs
What have been your best Spark-plugs on Dyna's with carbs?
For me the best, so far, have been the 6R12G Gold plugs Harley sells through the SE line.
All of my electrical is custom, the wires that have worked best are RevTech, hands down.
I was also able to get them in black so they match the wrinkle black engine.
I like my bike to look likea sleeper, the colorful wires are cool but sure stick out.
...Let's kick this in the pants one more time.

I replaced w/accell's -didn't think the price of se's were justified, now I wonder???
wisemx - what's the main reason for your choices? are you endorsing the combination of plugs/wires too? why revtech?
just curious bro, any answers are good - thanks in advance!
In every test the RevTech wiresdeliver the best spark and amazingly shield the rider, pure genius.
I've tested lots of plugs in this bike, primarily the rear cylinder shows the most change with some of them.
The 6R12G Gold plugs were a test, not sure who makes them for Harley but they rock.
Don't be confused, bro. Just learn everything you can and seperate fact from opinion. Bottom line is: use what works best with your bike for your riding style/habits. Plugs and/or wires do nothing for performance, although my bike does seem to idle steadier and start easier with the SE Perf (splitfires). If they didn't, I'd take them out.
Trial and error. The only thing to be sure of is if you change exhaust and breather to higher flow, you should do something to compensate for a better fuel mixture. The ECU can't handle it alone, and the Stage I default dl is worthless - that's a fact.
There are many ways to go for fuel management, and it just all depends on how far you intend to go with your bike to determine what you get. Read all the posts on PCIII, Fuelpak, SERT, Thundermax, etc. andyou will get a lot of opinion and dissimilar comparisons. It WILL make your head swim.
If you have a local dealer you trust, call them and speak to their chief tuner tech. Tell them what you want; high performance and don't care about sound or fuel economy, just want the bike to run it's best hp and torque be damned, or a bit of power, good sound, decent fuel economy. Yes, you CAN have it all. They "usually" give it to you straight. If they say, "you have to get this or else..." hang up. Do a google on Latus HD. They have an on-line tech ask forum that is good. The guy has serviced HD's and Indians for over 20 years. He will give it to ya straight.
Just do what works and ride....
