I have a 2012 Bob that I've been wanting to put a Switchback rear fender on. My winter prospects became a riding season job when the stock bob fender decided to start cracking in half due to the factory's brilliant idea to turn a license plate into a parachute. All annoyances aside, I am getting what I want, just six months ahead of schedule. I think I have everything I need, except the lighting. So my question is this:
What years of bullet tail bars can I put on a '12 Switchback fender? It doesn't necessarily have to be brainless plug and play as far as the wiring goes. I just need a bar that fits the fender contour and holes, has the bottom plate light, and preferably has a nice glossy black finish. Am I asking for too much here, or just over thinking something simple?
When I did my switchback rear fender I found a takeoff brake and turn signal bar from a street glide (FLHX) on ebay, don't remember the year though. I found a range of years that used part number 68629-05, which is the chrome version of what you are looking for.

Awesome, thanks a lot! I decided to try a different dealer in my area, and to my surprise, the parts guy was actually knowledgeable of the stuff he's selling. That's a rarity nowadays. Anyway, he said ANY of the bullet style tail bars from 07-21 will work. Useful information to have.
