ok, in the ever quest for something to do, i have been wondering about chopping the rear fender. now, that being said i was wondering what tools i would need to cut the fender. i was also wondering about relocating the plate and brake light or using a different bracket that i have. i have attached pics. let me know what you think. fyi i have a another full fender incase this goes bad!
I used a dremmel with metal blades to cut my fender. Drew the lines on it with a washable marker so if I screwed up could just wipe it off. Then touched up the tips with a bit of spray paint. I am gonna go over the tips again because I used flat black and should of used a glossy black. Just happen to have the flat here at the house already. Here is a picture. Don't mind that stupid little brake light it is just temporary I have some wiring issues I am ironing out but needed a brake light so I could ride for the time being.
well, i cut it. now looking for a different brake light, and thinking of side mount tail light. will have a pic up soon. any ideas on where to find a brake light that would look good on a chopped finder would be appreciated. GTG

You could make (or buy) a side mount tag/tail light combo. That would look pretty cool.
Harley sells a auxillary light module kit that can convert your turns signals to do all three brake, turn signals, and running lights so you could get rid of the tail light all together if you wanted. Doesn't cost too much either I think it is like 30 bucks.
