Welcome to the Forum, really nice bike! I lurked for awhile also, now I'm hooked on this forum. You'll find lots of help and support here. Ride safe! This is my first Harley , and it takes a little getting used too, I was looking over my shoulder for that "other Harley" too!

ColoRocky, I've read your message several times, since I was living every part of it.
The thing is, I leave Uruguay in a weeks time and a brand new FXDC (2007) is waiting for me at my brothers place. For me it is also my first Harley
and your feelings have transmitted me more confidence 
, because I have to travel about 400 miles to get home. Madrid to Toledo and then all the way to the north to Asturias... No, it is not in the US, but in Spain. I have received the greatest information from the group about the most important things to do, check and take with me...so I'm sure everything will be just great.
Anyway I was actually writting this message to congratulate you on your buy and hope you enjoy it for many years to come... (between you and me, nothing like the FXDC, but don't tell the others I said so
