First Post – Been lurking here, enjoying all the info you’ve provided.
I picked up a new Black FXDC 2008 Dyna Super Glide Custom a few days ago. I’ve ridden for a number of years, but this being my first Harley Davidson, let me start by thanking all Harley owners for keeping the MoCo alive and well over the last 105 years, so that I can enjoy this experience.
What a great ride home that was, should’ve been 60 miles from North Denver to Colorado Springs, but I took the back roads (scenic route), in order to keep the RPM’s down and break-in the motor nice and easy, so Iended up with 104 miles on her on the first ride.
Funny part – While cruising down Broadway St in Denver, I kept hearing this Harley to my right. I’d look over to see where it was, but didn’t spot any Harleys on the 6 lane downtown boulevard. Finally, I realized that the Harley rumble was my own bike probably echoing off buildings, it’s a silly thing I know, but riding imports I’ve never heard myself like that.
I got on some back roads blacktop climbing from the mile-high city to 7,500 feet, just clicking through gears keeping the speed modulated from 45 to 55. This Dyna is very nimble, rolls into the curves, very predictable, and throttle up a bit at the apex and she rumbles and thunders and makes you feel so much in control.

2008 Dyna Super Glide Custom
Bought an 07 Super Glide two weeks ago and can relate totally to what you are saying. Also have a Sportster I have been riding a while but the Super Glide is something very very special.
Congrats and if you are ever near Atlanta let me know.
I was struggling to buy a Harley for a long time. Difficult to find a custom (chromed-up) model with cast wheels. I like the looks of spokes, but prefer tubeless tires. A dealer in Denver (Sun Harley), offered to do a wheel swap between the FXD and FXDC. Awesome! I got up there and purchased it within a couple of hours.
nice bike, welcome to the club. I am not a member yet as I am too much of a p&ssy to pull the trigger, but I am right on the edge. Enjoy the ride and keep us informed on what you're doing with it.
