If yer lookin at a 08 the interest deals are not as good. They will give no store credits. If you can git MSRP on a 08 you did great.
on the Rocker and Fat Bob, forgit it, they are going to be too many folks wanting it. And the 08's are going to be the 105th anniversary models. You gonna have to pay for that also.
Yer best deal is a 07 model by far. I've been in the dealerships with my buddy's lookin at the 07. The wide glides are selling better in the country than in the city. The dealers said no honest offers will be refused. Give they yer best and let them deal with you. The 08's are gonna have the same motor and transmission.

then i guess i am doing good bc my dealer said he would give me the fat bob for msrp plus freight and setup. he also said i will be the first call when the bike comes in on the 9th of spt. i figure i will try to get a loan from the bank bc i am running the sale through a HD employee to get a 20% rebate

Yep ! I like the Fat Bob, it is gonna be a Hot Bike.
I wished it was streached out to be a longer bike. But the Fat Bob had more horsepower per rpm than the rocker according to H-D comparrisons. I also like the FAt Bob cause its in the Dyna family. Meaning it has a A motor, no counter balancers to deal with, rubber mounted engine. And it has shocks on the outside of the swingarm frame. There is a whole heck of a lot of thing I like about the Fat Bob. It reminds me of my 64 Pan head in a way.
Yer head's gonna be swealled up if you git the bike and ride out of the dealership. When I got my bike I was riding with the traffic and had drove out of town and looked at the gas guage and pulled into a station and realized I had gona 100 miles without paying attention.
Wish you luck with yer bike . If you git it Welcome to the dyna family.

I know my wife can give her Employee discount to anyone she likes once a year. (She works for Daimler -Chrysler) . Does Hd allow their employees to do the same? Just asking cause I have my eye on this honey at the local stealer and figure I can kill two birds with one stone.
Something fresh and a 20 % under msrp bike would be sweet.

the way it works with harley is a little more difficult. my uncle works there. they need to buy the bike and keep it in their name for 12 months. once an employee buys it, they get a rebate check in teh mail for 20% of the purchase. They are allowed to buy 2 bikes per year.

Hey Crock, when you git the bike they are gonna try to sell you everything under the sun, If you break down you can be towed, you can stay in a motel room if yer out of town. All kind of warranties. Do you want this or that.
Man yer gonna be so excited you can't hear nothin. Don't take the tow warranties or stay in the motel warranties or the oil change warranties. You have to pay interest on all that stuff and it cost more anyway.
Git the basic warranty. Doesn't H-D make a bike that should last threw their warranty.
What you want to do is listen to yer saleman. And when the service advisor shows you the controls on the bike and what everything does try, just try to listen to him for yer own sake if you can git yer head to not sweal up anymore that it will be. And when you leave. Pay Attention to the Knuckleheads on the road. And let us know how you like yer bike dude. STay in touch.
