Went riding for just a bit yesterday morning, only my 3rd time to ride the dyna since I've had it. Got it up to 85 twice, what I like most is at 75, you can pull back the throttle and it'll still push you back in your seat! Ran it at 80 several times. The roads I took it on were pretty curvy, so there's only a few good straightways. But I've gotten use to the little bit of extra weight. Still going to put floorboards on it, I'm just too cramped up. My yamaha could never have had that much power or been that much fun! Maybe balanced better, but it weighed less. I just am totally Harley now!
before i take the final dive into the dyna family, i am going to rent one, rent a sporty, and rent a fat boy. That will give me the feel with the three families i have some sort of interest in, and will let me compare. The sporty is more for a baseline than anything else, but it will be fun to tool around on i think. pretty much all of the dealers here have rental programs
That's cool. My husband, shortfatboy, has a fatboy. I have riden it on several occasions and liked it very much.. But I tend to like the bigger bikes, I love the heritage. But I'm only 125 lbs. so a dyna makes more sense. Who knows, one day I may have a deluxe. Those are nice to. Good luck on your decision.!
