Default Rust in tank
Recently bought bike that has been sitting since 2012 and full of rust in the tank, soaking it with white vinegar, not sure if it is working..Any suggestions

If your planning on keeping the bike, I would go to KBS coatings and get a cycle tank kit. Strip old liner out, treat the metal and re line the tank. Look them up on the net . KbS has several cycle tank videos. Word of caution..be very careful with the aircraft stripper.... I would speculate that if your seeing rust , your old liner is peeling away also.

Metal rescue for the inside. Then coat it with tank liner

Carb or EFI? With a fuel pump and all the other components in the tank they might need some attention or replacement.
