I have a 2007 Superglide with freshly installed drag bars. The problem now lies with the speedometer. It is standing upright with the addition of the angled risers. Is there a bracket that I can purchase that will mount the speedometer in a more relaxed position. I did not see anything in the HD catalogue.
Thanks for your help
These are available from Accutronix. They can be used with the chrome speedo bracket and cover available from Harley for the older model Super Glides and Sportsters. I have seen several guys' posts about using these items. You may find these posts through a search.
Speeder you have pictures with your drag bars? I have been thinking of changing mine out for awhile now. I am between the drags and the fat mini apes. Some folks say they(drag bars) get uncomfortableon long rides. I like to cruise on the weekends, but I do like how they look on some bikes.
I think we answer this question every other day!! It should really be stickied!
All youhad to do wasSEARCH? I don't want to sound like a jerk, but we've given out the info, links, prices, etc. so many times...almost asmany as, "Do you really need to buy the wide tire kit?". The answer is NO, you can just install the 180 without buying the kit.
You may want to take a look at this gauge setup. It is on a 04 to present sportster custom. It doesshow different risers but it looks like just the gauge holder would work. To get a better feel for it take a look at one at the dealer. I priced it out at the dealer so for the holder and the warning light change was about $130. The special riser costs a lot more. May be a good winter project.
Here is the issue. I did do a search. Not much there. The Accutronix option seems like a bit of an afterthought. the sportster option looks great. Any other options?
The Accutronix option seems like a bit of an afterthought.
Sort of like buying a Superglide with the goofiest Speedo set up in the world, changing the bars out,and then wondering how to make it look cool?
