The sound only happen when is hot? Does the sound keep going after it started?
The things I would check is the starter gear that's goes on the ring gear. Second thing after this, take a look on the stator rotor for a loose spring issue.

Probably more directed to Jay. His compression calc is based on a 0 degree intake close.
BTW Static compression does not change on intake close. It's the same no matter what cam is chosen.. Corrected is what changes.
