Unfortunately, yes it is normal to show good for the test but be otherwise dead for starting a MC. Many a forum member has chased their tails looking at connections, starters, fuses, etc., etc. and their battery was just old and done. It happens, they do not last forever even on a tender. Personally I like the factory batteries, never had an issue with them. Good luck.

Check the voltage at the battery before and during the start attempt. If it is good before and unchanged during, then the starter is not being powered for whatever reason. If it is good before and bad during then either the battery is bad or the starter is drawing too much current. If it is bad before and worse during then the battery needs to be charged or replaced.

This is exactly what happened to me. Battery was at 13.9v when installed with lights on. Multimeter read 7.9v when I went to start it. It needs to read at least 9.6v when starting. That`a how I knew I needed a new battery.

Was thinking of going with a scary flammable lithium ion battery for more power but didn't bother because 1, Scary flammable, 2, need a special charger, and 3, they lose their chi if drained too low/aren't good for cold weather. Would like to hear if anyone is running one of these and likes it.
Lithium Iron Phosphate is the new idea- more stable than Lith Ion. Giving one a try on my 107". So far so good, 600 CCA turns her over right sharp, and shaved another 12lbs off running weight, living in phoenix area now cold not a big concern
