No kidding, you guys are the folks who have gone down in those type of crafts, that must be quite exhilarating! Hats off to you
My Submarine days I was working for Lockheed and later Lockheed Martin In support of the US Navy's deep submergence program, we did overhaul, repair and modifications to a variety of submersibles. in my 18 years there I worked with six different deep boats including Sea Cliff DSV4, at the time it was worlds deepest diving manned submersible, I had the pleasure of a few qualification dives after overhauls. The star of the bunch was DSRV1 Mystic which was featured in the movie "Hunt For Red October". After the contract expired in 2004 I signed on with Caterpillar and have been with them ever since (18 years) doing R&D work on stationary gas turbine industrial engines (10 years in the Navy working with the F4S Phantom and F-14B Tomcat I had a background in turbine engines) I build test rigs and assist with sorting out new products like this...
That's a lot of good stuff right there! Childhood buddy retired from Boomer service and I've nearly drowned 2-3 times, minus all the smart stuff you and he have we have lots in common

You are far to kind, so back to something that looks like progress. I was never happy with the lob I did on the power port (cigarette lighter), the wiring was far to visible and the fuse holder was hanging out in the breeze. As usual everything takes to long and plans evolve... This is the new location for the 30 amp master fuse that feeds the power port and also provides unswitched power to the horn and lighting relays. This hides well and will be accessible for service, the relay/fuse box will now be mounted on the forward edge of the electrical caddie as that location provides good cable routing options
That gas turbine stuff is very cool. I wonder if you could fit a smaller version in the Harley, sort of like Jay Leno's turbine bike...but better looking.
Also, I am curious re: how well those Kinetic mounts work compared to stock. I have one of my two Sputhe stabilizers installed with the rear pending my wheel removal and the stock mounts.

Hi Quickdyna,
I will let you know as soon as the bike goes back together, I am interested in finding out myself. I also am using the Sputhe kit which will be used with the Kinetic mounts, my theory is the Kinetic mounts are (claimed) to be stiffer laterally, that in my mind, is the Sputhe kit will be under less of a load making it more efficient, as the lateral load is now shared with the engine mounts and the Sputhe kit = stiffer chassis.
When I first installed the Sputhe kit I discovered that the heim links would also replace the upper engine mount link that looks like a heim joint but actually has rubber bushings, so I ordered a third link and installed it, total bolt in. Vibration at idle was very much improved and on the road I did not notice much of a change in vibration.

This was the motorcycle that sent me down the Harley-Davidson rabbit hole. I first saw this photo in Hot Rod magazine in Bob Green's column "Up On Two Wheels". I found it in my grade school library. I was 12 years old and never forgot it.
The Trac Dynamics swingarm arrived today, I can say it was worth the wait. Machine work and tig welding is top notch, beautiful and quite light. I ordered it with a rear blank chainguard tab and it was free of charge so I'm very happy and ready to start taking the bike apart.
