Well it is the moment of truth! I am heading to the powder coater to pick up the items... all done in black chrome... putting it on tonight... will post a pic as soon as i am done... got the complete new gasket kit from HD for 25 bucks and a bottle of blue lock tite 3.25.... coating was done by part of my company for free... we will see how it all looks!

Almost done! not yet but almost... still have to buttn up the exhaust and cut some heat shields to tie in the black on chrome.... but it looks sick!!!

all the parts fresh from the powder coater... heads, headbolt covers, rockers, shift linkage, push arm sleeves, and my apes (not shown)
this winter will be the trees and the sliders.... but got to ride while i can!

hey there ive had the same and have used wd40 and sprayed it on and it generally neutralises the acidic affect on the alloy and rubbed it in a bit hope this helps u ay.

all done! came out amazing and the bike actually runs MUCH better since i put it back together! let me know what you think!
