Powder coating polished aluminum???

I could use some help or even some advise from my forum brothers and sisters. I'm in the process of polishing the carbs on my dads classic bike. And since the carbs or easy to see but hard to reach, I thought that if I could put a clear powdercoat finish on the parts to help keep the luster of the polish. I have a powdercoating gun and oven in the shop. Problem one I have had this for years but have never used it. Next issue I've searched the web but have not found what I want to know. Is there a special process that I need to do to the aluminum before applyig the powdercoating and baking? Like some sort of chemical bath to prep the aluminum for proper results. If so what will this process do my finish on the aluminum. I would like to keep the polished look of the aluminum in the process and have a low or maintenance free product. Thanks for any and all advice..

JRK5892 the powdercoating shop sponsor on the forum should be able to chime in and answer any questions on powdercoating stuff. If he misses this thread try sending him a pm.
