I have no problems with stress ... I do on the other hand have issues with folks that think they know me or assume such.
Itry real hardnot tojudge other's by what they ride or wear... it aint _none_ of my fricken biznezz <shrug> an I thought that was pretty much what I could expect from those in this forum ....
so yes, when others post comments such as ****r's /F@G / gay / dumb / retarded/ panties in a wad...etc etc and onand on ....
WHEN the origianl OP asked for opinions.... a few posted opinions and immediately got chastised, bythosthat cant / wont / don't / wouldn't be caught dead in shorts.

I ALWAYS wear a helmet. I could care less what others think. If they choose not to, its their head, not mine.
I'll probably take heat for this, but at my age, who cares, flame on. lol
I have noticed that with age comes wisdom UNTIL the old people get on a motorcycle, then that STUPID PILL they took that day kicks in. Most KIDS I see riding "Crotch Rockets" wear helmets. Most Older Harley Riders I see, don't wear helmets. Now, who are the dumb ones???? LMAO
I slid across the asphalt in 1973, in the Okeefenokee (SP) Swamp in Ga, just south of Waycross GA, in July. Nice FRESH laid asphalt. Was in a full body cast for 13 weeks and had I not been wearing a helmet, would of been dead for sure. As it was they only gave me a 50/50 chance. With regards to the shorts or jeans. I haven't seen hundreds of incidents to base it on, just my own in 1973. I was wearing jeans that day and it was in the 90's. Had I been wearing shorts, no doubt the damage to my legs would of been much worse. I was going around 50 MPH at the time when I was broadsided by a tri-axle dump truck. My 750 four Honda, yeah I said HONDA, suffered very little damage. But, I didn't fair so well.

Now let me ask this question. What is the difference between wearing shorts and not wearing a shirt while riding? We passed a guy Sunday that had we been wearing shorts, he would have looked at us and probably snarled...just had that look. This guy didn't have a shirt on period. So why is it acceptable for these "old school" guys to ride shirtless and not take crap for it but let someone put shorts on and all of a sudden it's an issue? Let me say this, I do not think either is safe, I am just posing the question.

First Harley, but been riding a little over 30 years, been down once, (23 years ago)was wearinga helmet, jeans, andjacket.
