I did a version of that, I told her I was going to the Harley dealer to "Look at bikes" ...I then came home the next day and asked her to give me a ride to go "pick up my bike" she was like "wha? I thought you were just looking.." I said "I was, and did, and made a deal..."

I do know my old friend could change out his motorcycle at will (as long as it was red,) and his wife never knew the difference. A second bike, maybe if it was red too
Y'all take a look at the FXDC I'm drooling over and tell me what you think. It's in the pre-owned inventory at Riders Harley Davidson (Trussville, AL). I'm not done figuring out how to own it. LOL
I found it's easier to get forgiveness than it is to get permission.
Only took her 3 years to cool off, but she still brings it up in every argument.
I know we're talking Dyna's but I'm 67, 280, 34" inseam with extended forwards.
Plus a mustache bar to move my feet around. Love to layback, but standing on the pegs over bumps is impossible.

I love my FXDL. Mods in sig and I'm 6'3, 290, with 32" inseam. Very comfortable for me but actually want to go to further Forward mid controls for better ride control and then will just use crash bars as foot rests to stretch out.

I'm riding a 2018 Road King FLHR. Bought it with 4800 miles on it. Stage 1 mods, 14" apes, Dyno Jet Tuner, all done within 2 weeks, then added a Wood Performance 22xe cam. Took it in for 15k service and new tires last week, also got new rear pads and rotor. Anyway, got a bunch of money in it, love riding it, can't stay out of the throttle since I had the cam put in, gas mileage sucks, LOL While at the dealership having service done a REALLY nice Dyna Super Glide caught my eye. I sat on it, looked it over, lusted, lusted, lusted. Wouldn't work for me because of the price and the fact it didn't have forward controls. Short story is I don't want to get rid of my RK, but I WANT a Dyna bad. I really like the Super Glide, but 6'0" tall might need a Wide Glide. I'll have to somehow hide another bike from my wife. Are they smart enough to notice 2 bikes instead of 1? Seriously, can a guy my height be comfortable on a Super Glide with forward controls? I would use it for a short trip bike (around town) or do I need to be looking at the Wide Glide. These Dyna's are so cool and old school looking.
I had forward controls put on it by the dealer as part of the deal when I bought my 2009 Dyna several years ago. I`m not 6 feet tall though (only 5' 9"). However, the forward controls worked well for me...
