I have done searches on rear tires for the Street Bob, and most are old. Meaning have not found posts on the GT502 tire and or other tires as a replacement in brand and size. What is the mileage and ride feel you have gotten? And any problems you may have with what tire you went with.
I got 6400 out of my original 160/70 see my post and the thread with it on the GT502 titeled as "180 wide tire issue solved" if you want to upgrade to that tire for your bike
O5 Wide Glide. I got 12k out of stock front and rear Dunlops. New Elite 3's ride real nice and don't track the cracks in the road or tar snakes. So far I haven't hit any rain but that's the only questionable area. I may try Metzler 880'snext. Good luck hunting for tires!
I am lucky to get 10,000 mile out of mine. I am thinking of changing brands, I have stock dunlops now. Am happy with the handling just not the miles I get out of them.
If the tries does not get more than 8000 or 9000 out of them is that an upgrade? Iâm looking for a replacement tire that I can get better mileage from. For me stock size is ok, I just have not found one that people say wears better than stock, from what I have read, the gt502 will wear faster.

As far as an "ugrade"... its not necessarily a performance upgrade or superior to any other tire that I am aware of in longevity. I have also heard that the GT502 wears quicker too, although I do like the ride the GT 502 is giving me now vs. my old 160/70, it tracks straight as a string. I cant tell how its going to wear as it is my first tire of this type /size and variety. I like the look, although it does seem a bit softer than the old tire. If you are looking strictly for longevity I would suggest a Metzler I have heard nothing but good about them and their abilities.. Its just that they dont make a "wide tire" of the same variety as Dunlop. They probably make a 170 or a good 160 that will fit your needs.
Check the speed & load rating for your tire. Dunlops run a softer rubber for grip and a higher speed rating for the new bikes. Your can go with the goldwing tires size that are not made for your bike. They do last longer with a harder rubber tire and less grip. They have a H rated and not V rated tire. It is your choice.
