Figured out just turn the wheel to the left and it will clear the ground just fine LOL

So I looked at the 99-05 FXDX specs and ONLY the 1999 came STD with Laced Spoke ... from 2000-05 it was a $320 option. (referencing U.S. specs)
Too bad you didn't hold out for the 2000 ... it wouldn't have been just the "Mags" you would've enjoyed

Congratulations on the purchase, good looking bike.
Upgrading that bike to 2000 and up 4 piston calipers is a very effective and inexpensive upgrade. Swing arm, lower forks and calipers is all you need, it all bolts right up. Even your current master cylinders are compatible. 4 pistons where a hell of an upgrade for performance. Winter work though. Enjoy.

4.9? Either I have never truely boned my tank or I got jipped on a gallon... Most I have ever put it it was 3.5 gallons.. Now I have to run it dry!
